According to the wiki it should, but llGetTime is not resetting on sim-reboot's
- is this a bug or feature ?
- are there alternate method's ?

In the past I use to compare llGetTimeOfDay against the sun position. There is a script I wrote in the script library forum that does this.

See also llRequestSimulatorData()/DATA_SIM_STATUS, though I'm not sure what you'll see from a script within the same sim (i.e. will the script only run while the sim is in the "up" status, or will you also get a status like "starting"; might be worth testing and posting results here if you know a sim owner/manager willing to help): http://www.lslwiki.net/lslwiki/wakka.php?wakka=llRequestSimulatorData
