Anyone know of a free/near free camera tracking and following script for objects?

I found the following in the scripting library.
http://www.lslwiki.com/lslwiki/wakka.php?wakka=LibraryCameraFollower Camera Follower Originally created by ArkLehane who edited the version posted here and credited to him on this Wiki out of existance. Re-created and rebuilt by WolfWings Majestic because the script idea is useful, but the original version could be improved on. Moves an object to the position of your camera. CODE integer channel = 0; |

I use that exact same script from the lslwiki with no modification in an object I made so I know that it works. The object is behind your cam position a bit and is pretty hard to see by yourself.......as you scroll out your cam it moves out too, always staying behind your cam.

That's the thing, the object isn't moving.

Object floating 1meter in front of camera & Pointing the same way
01-21-2007 20:40
Check out this thread. /54/fb/154062/1.html
I got a modification of the wiki camera follower script to do just what you want. I now have an object that floats 1 meter in front of the camera (so you can always see it) and it rotates to point where the camera is pointing. You can do this with a physical object or a phantom, but the script will have to be modified. Let me dig it out and I'll post the whole modification here. Blackthorne |
