Replacing the typing animation

The default SL typing animation is a priorty 2 animation. I have a priority 4 animation that I would like to replace it with. You can usually use llGetAnimation to determine the animation state the AV is in, but typing is not one of the values returned. How can a script tell if the AV is typing so that it could over ride the default typing animation and replace with with another? The only thing I can think of is to use llGetAnimationList and search for the key of the default LL animation, stop it if it's playing and start my own. Is there another way?

LlGetAgentInfo will do the job.

Just a little advice: Don't stop the default typing anim... Ever! If you do so, your AV will really stop typing so that you won't be able to detect anything with llGetAgentInfo().

That's absolutely stupid but that's the way it was last time I checked.

I was in Abranimations yesterday and they had a freebie which specifically addresses this issue. Not sure if this helps.

And maybe make your replacement anim priority 3 instead of priority 4 so you won't spill your drink, or can hold an item or use other priority 4 animations without them breaking when you "type"?
