Script to Auto-Return Prims?

is it possible to build an llSensorRepeat() call that will auto-return prims on owner land if not set to group X, Y or Z?

Just curious since we can't have people in the land-owner group besides the two who own the land.

no on two counts

1) a script cannot return a prim

2) a script can only check group against the set group that the prim it is in belongs to.

You could get around (2) by havin 3 prims set to 3 groups checking and chatting to a master object, but there still isn't a way around (1)

Thank you. I'd asked this same question in game and got the run-around. Your directness and promptness is most appreciated and very refreshing.

I just wish it had been better news.

What you could probably do is report the objects that are in none of the groups, along with their x,y,z for an land manager to go and find, and return manually, but for automated use, I'm afraid that LSL is missing the needed function :(

*shrug* Not your fault. I'd actually love to see something like this implemented. It'd revolutionize the security drone business.

This was all prompted by a griefer dropping hundreds of animated flame prims in a club I frequent. If I could build a security drone script that would augment the land ban list as well as auto-clean up the non-club group prims (there's 3 groups for this club)...it'd be just gravy....

There is one way you could do it but it's a nasty hack.

If it's a physical object, you could push it so hard that it gets auto-returned by the SL server for flying off the edge of the world.

Of course this is really only viable if you're near the edge and can avoid having the object hit anyone, etc..

Unfortunately, all of the prims used in the form of grief we got were non-physical. It's too risky to use physical prims for grief anyway, since the prim owner is responsible for all "personX hit you with a scripted object" PvP counts. Just to grief the griefer, we would have thrown any physical object about hitting everyone to rack up PvP flags and report the snothead.
