Hi.

How do I move a child prim?

llSetPos does not seem to be working.

llSetPos() affects the prim the script is in. if its the root prim, it moves the entire object.

For your purposes you may want to look into llSetLinkPos() or llSetLinkPrimitiveParams()

And if you use llSetPos() in the child prim, do not forget that the coordinates are relative to the root prim and must not exceed the link distance limit (which depends on the size of the linked prims).

In other words, do not pass region coordinates to llSetPos() in a child prim. Depending of the sizes of the prims, the child prim may move... or not at all.
