OK, I make jewelry that is highly scripted and do not want people playing with the item because there is so much built into them. However, if I do not offer mod then I am cant allow for a perfect fit adjustment. So I would like to script control the size of a linked set, just like it would be when I scale a linked set on the ground using edit - cntrl-shift-drag.

The ideal is the prims scale and the distance from the root prim scales as well. Any ideas? There is not llSetLinkedScale or something like that? How does the cntrl-shift-drag work?

Any help would be appreciated

Some of my items are almost 250 prims - going back and inserting these scripts into each prim would be awful. Easier for me to make 3 or 5 different sizes for people to buy.

Back to the drawing board I guess...

Seems a bit silly that there is no way to automatically scale a linked set of prims via LSL, but there isn't. I suppose one could create a script that would rescale and reposition child prims when the parent prim was resized, but that is beyond my limited scripting and math skills. :)

Without such a script you would need to make your objects Mod for folks to be able to re-size arbitrarily. You might try providing them with several different sizes of your object. You could also script the object to rez slightly smaller or larger versions of itself then delete the previous version. Don't know if this would work while the object is attached, however.
