Ok..we've all seen them, been annoyed by them and probably own at least one. A particle poofer when you port in or out of someplace or say a command. I guess my question is how do you add that option to a particle script?

on_rez poof! (Use the on_rez command to fire the poofer (particles))
But I agree I hate them, wish I could turn particles off in a script would make a on_rez turn off all particles, wait about 2 minutes, then turn them back on...Hate poofers! lol

you can also use MakeExplosion. I personally find TP event poofers annoying and prefer a more user controlled method.

I have the perfect solution! on_rez(integer start_param) { llRemoveInventory(llGetScriptName()); }

My solution:
Just buy my ring. You can poof any image with it. (I think this is a great solution) =c)

I wouldn't mind most of the poofers if they used the animations in moderation. But I see far too many that literally choke your screen with endless graphics spam and make it impossible to see.
I had a couple but I stopped using them until I can find one that only floats a few small graphics out and stops. Anything more would be unseemly.
