I'm new to using the premade scripts in objects. I recently made a door, and put the door script in..the one that you can put in specific users...a security door.
Anyway..when I drop the script in, and test the door, it opens strangely. I've rotated it, etc, and it still opens in a way that I dont wish it to.
Do you also have to have a hinge script, or can you just use the door security script to place into the door and it works?
I think that I'm missing something somewhere. The script is not faulty.
Any help is much appreciated!
Thanks!

You need to cut the door in half for scripts that rotate without changing position.
That way the middle pivot of the prim will be on the visible edge.

Applying Door Scripts

Here's what I've done;
I make a very small item and apply the script there. Then I move it to the 'hinged' side of the door. I select the door, then the small item and join them. (Ctrl-L) Exit the edit mode now and try it. You'll see that the door swings normally.

My doors are a box, Size x=0.1, y=3.6, z=3.0. Pathcut to B=0.379 E=0.870.
Make one of those and use your script, see if it works.

If that doesn't work and you're using the Multi-User Lockable Door script, send me an IM and I'll drop you a premade door which already has the hinge prim incorporated.
