moving jaw on type script

Could anyone help please, i am trying to create a moving jaw on typing animation to overide the typing of hands but my scripting is very limitedi have looked at other types of this and they all seem to work on a rotating root prim which makes sense, its just i cant seem to get the prim to move when typing and lose the hands typing animation
any scripters willing to help please ?

Well..

you'd need to run another animation, that "blots out" the default typing animation. Since the typing animation is (I beleive) priority 2, that's fairly easy to do.

As for moving the mouth, it seems like llSetRot would be your best bet.

There are numerous examples of free "Magic Keyboard" scripts floating around in freebie houses (like Yadni's junkyard, for example).

A gotcha here, is that if you use the client to "disable typing animation".. your script won't be able to detect if you're trying. It seems that AGENT_TYPING simply detects whether or not the typing animation is running.. not the actual system cue that you are typing. So you're stuck with the typing noise. Also, whatever you do, don't try to "stop" the typing animation.. doing so will immediately tell your script that you've stopped typing.

I think some of the mouth animations will move the chin position which if used as an attachment point would automatically move the jaw (or maybe it's the mouth attachment point), but I'm not sure on their priority...

as an option to winter's "don't stop the typing anim" you could stop it, and then continue your own animation until a) the av says something, or b) a timeout triggers, then stop it.
