the work around is inserting ANY valid breaking character... but it makes it particularly difficult for anyone to come here post a script and figure out what's going on when it fails...
and it's particularly stupid considering they already turned of html (because I can print < a href="blah">stuff< /a>  and IF html were active it'd still link._____________________

If you enter a rot or vector, put a space before the first number like so:

Ah. So THAT'S what's going on. I noticed that several times I couldn't post a reply, but if I entered a short, simple reply and then edited the post afterward to paste the full thing, the save on the edit succeeded. In a couple cases I had to submit the edit a couple times (navigating back in between), but it worked eventually.

there have been a few fiasco's where LL did not take kindly to my "interpretation" of things (or vice versa)... not enough to raise an AR, but....
(oddly enough my Main account has NEVER had an AR pass, or been banned... kinda weird considering my reaction to certain things...) _____________________

there have been a few fiasco's where LL did not take kindly to my "interpretation" of things (or vice versa)... not enough to raise an AR, but.... (oddly enough my Main account has NEVER had an AR pass, or been banned... kinda weird considering my reaction to certain things...) I know I received my warning from Katt the Terrible Not that I have toned it done since then.Just sent an IM to Blue pleading my case. This is going to cut nearly every question from new people until it is fixed. We may have found a work around but they will all leave in frustration. If Blue can not help then I will ping Soft. Just so happens that I just sent all of the devs virtual cookies in an sldev post and I am hoping that they remember that. _____________________

If you are worried about SQL injection attacks your architecture is wrong. It's so 1990s.
Then again, IMHO, LL is somewhat 1990s in their approach to software development, so I"m hardly surprised. I suspect a competitor is out there in stealth mode and will launch something far more compelling within 2 years. Remember VRML, Cybertown/Colony City, There.com, TSO, etc? IMHO - SL is well on the way to ensuring that they become the next dinosaur. LL's current approach to governance is also strongly reminiscent of Cybertown in decline - which makes me feel that the problems run really deep. Currently, a lot of SL's work is navel-watching and self-serving... (Philip's research work remains an exception). However, I believe that LL are grabbing the cash while they can and have a defined exit policy (an effect of having M in charge, I suspect). No amount of flaming will make my opinions change, which I have the right to hold. Only evidence of positive and progressive action from LL's development department and governance will make a difference to my assessment made from observing so many aspects of SL's current state. If you really think through the whole picture, I bet you'll come to believe much the same as I do. /esc _____________________
