I really need 2 computers to test this.
imagine this:
I have a single prim, in the on_rez() state the prim is made a sphere - in the start_touch() state it is converted to a cube.
I rez the prim, it is a sphere. I touch the prim, it is now a cube. If someone else TPs to the location, or logs on at that location, what do they see?
Similarly if I log off, or leave the location, leaving the prim as a cube and later someone else comes to the location, what do they see?

A cube. Scripts are serverside and objects are persistent.

Theres only a fiew viewer side effects but changign a prims shape is serverside. Now check the light in your refridgerator and learn basics about falsifiability.
