Yup, Another door script question

I have a question regarding linking together when using door scripts. Am building a cabinet & want to be able to link it all up when done. I have a simple door script that works on the hinge principle. I have the door working fine but when I link up the door with the rest of the cabinet, the whole cabinet now moves. Is there a script available for furniture builders that allows everything to be linked?

I've seen so many pieces of furniture with doors that breeze open & sigh shut so surely there is an easy to use script? For those of us who go cross eyed looking at scripts?

depends on how many prims you doors have regarding what method you employ - ie how many prims per door are going to have to move - just a single prim door? Or many parts that make up the door, knobs detailing etc that need to follow the door

First make sure the door is not the root prim of your link set (don't select the door prim as the last prim before linking).

That should fix your problems. If your using llGetPos or llGetRot use llGetLocalPos and llGetLocalRot instead.

Hope that helps.

This one allows you to link the doors to the cabinet, no hinges necessary, you can also easily change the direction it rotates.

Good for single prim doors only. Follow the instructions at the bottom on cutting the prim path.
