I have made a vehicle that works with llMoveToTarget(), but now I want it to cross a sim border. How can I do that?

ooo... i don't know the answer to your question, but i love the question :-)

you want to know how to get it the target position in another sim... i suppose it depends on how it's been getting it's coordinates up to that point.

if in region coordinates it'll go negative x west and negative y south, and over 256 in N and E directions.

and i have no idea how one does world coordinates, i just know "get sim corner" command will get you that xyz in world coord.

i suppose you could work all waypoints from that type of data, world coordinates, obviating the cartesian consternation of region coords. try giving it a look-see?

or maybe your question was just about border crossings? lol Chryssy just woke up...

I reckon if you were to set a target for greater than 256 or less than 1 in an axis (i.e. over the border) then you might get away with checking the not_at_target for a change in region name and when it changes you can set a new target for llMoveToTarget.

If that fails then get your vehicle close to the edge and use a llSetImpulse or llApplyImpulse (one of the two, forget which) to nudge you over.

Don't forget some weird stuff can happen if your passenger is banned or otherwise cannot access the parcel on the other side of the sim boundary.
