Hallo! i'm sloooowly learning more about lsl scripting, mostly by carving up sample scripts and re-working them.

One thing i cannot find, is a simple script that animates an opened and closed path-cut of, say, a hollow sphere.

(my goal is to sit in a half-open sphere, and then it closes on you, then opens again, later! i hope to add a timer and physics to this at some point, so that it rolls.!)

i got the sit position down, but having a terrible time finding a simple "animate prim cut" script to copy or learn from.

i'm also hunting for what i know is out there, something that will state primparams, esp of an object's path cut.

help appreciated, thank you!

I don't think there is such script, you'll have to make it using llSetPrimitiveParams in a loop.

Could you do it so that the sitting position is a poseball of some description, and the script that changes the shape is on another, linked, prim that doesn't touch the sitting prim?

As far as I've been able to determine, it seems like changing PRIM_TYPE parameters unsits an avatar from any prim in the linkset. It may be worth a try, but hasn't worked for me.
