Why is there nothing posted anywhere about llForceMouselook(integer mouselook);
Except in the Wiki there is a vague at best explination. Here
When I use this I always get a syntax error. On all the variations I've tried so far.

All I need is for mouselook to activate when I sit on a stupid prim.

We seriously need a better scripting help system that works and make sense so we don't have to keep posting this, what should be simple, crap. lol

Thanks for any help you guys can give.

llForceMouselook(TRUE); in the state entry should make anyone who sits on the prim go into mouselook. And if you want to turn that off at some point like the next person to sit down on that prim will not go into mouselook, you would make a llForceMouselook(FALSE) in the changed state after the first person has sat down. Does that help explain it any better?

Indeed Thanks :)
See why can't something like that be posted on the Wiki for crying out loud.
Watch someone puts a link in to it. :p

It's a WIKI! Why don't you do it! That's what WIKIs are for...

Show me how to use a Wiki then. :)
Is there a Wiki on how to use a Wiki?
Then how would I use that Wiki once I learn to use a Wiki. Are all Wiki's the same?
I have no idea. I just stick to what I know.
Why would I want to post some info on a matter that I don't know enough about. Such as LSL. Just to have it shot down by someone else.
If we had a Wiki on graphic arts and modeling then maybe I might write something up. :)

Says it all. I don't want to bother or make the effort. I just want it done for me.

That is what comments and questions are for. No-one is going to shoot you down for that. Hell, I can think of several other reasons, but not that.

Hey, let's just kee asking the same questions again and again, then never passing that information on to others, so that they can ask the same questions again and again.

When I was young, I was given the advice: "Ask. For the one who admits ignorance, there are ten who hid it." Good advice that was tempered later on with "When you find something share it, to save others the effort you took, and to allow them to go further." If you wanted to REALLY just stick to what you know, why were you bothering to learn something new? And if there was no-one to answer your question just now, by their own efforts, experiments and experience, then were would you be?

OK, in an ideal world someone else would have written this extra info up on the wiki, but if we keep waiting for someone else, or expecting others to do stuff for us, NOTHING WILL GET DONE! Start contributing.

Actually I do make an effort to help people on subjects that I understand.
Anyway I think that was just a rant because I see better help systems back when I used crappy GimpShop software. :p

I could go on the scripting wiki and make a big mess. It would not be pretty because I have a limited understanding of the LSL setep. :p

True.
I figured, back when I made this post, that SL was around long enough to have at least the simple stuff written and organized somewhere. Seeing as it started years ago. lol
But a month later I can see it's really not as popular as I thought.

Actually if I had permission to edit the wiki, and knew how, then I would have put this info right in after it was posted here.
If someone starts a graphic's Wiki I'd like to know about it. But I don't see any obvious links to such a place yet.
And that is because graphics has a wide range of uses in other platforms. LSL on the other hand is more or less in it's own little world here.
I do my part where it is needed the most. Outside of sl where anyone can find it. Or in-world helping new people create and use textures.

I'm just an ass sometimes when I get frustrated with little crap that should be put out by LL in the first place. :) (And easy to understand.)
With "Mouselook" set to TRUE I was thinking it had to be set by some other script or line of code and that I had to go look that up as well and put it all together. hah
I know LL staff are not book publishers. And, I assume, they don't have the funds to pay for someone to write user friendly documentation that most can understand.

I was also thinking LL wanted the platform to develop easily and yet did not provide that. But that is all "eye of the beholder" I guess.
In any case, I can sometimes be an ass just because and with no apparent reason. :D
But it seemed like a good enough reason to me at the time. lol
And sometimes it still feels like a good reason. :)
It's not ment to be directed at any of you guys thou.
