UUID always the same?

I have a particle object. I use a UUID for the texture but when someone else has it, once in a rare while the texture changes into something else. The copy given to the other person is given back to me and it's still wrong. I can't see the script in the given copy as I make them no copy,no mod. I rerezz my original object and it's OK still with the right texture.

This only happens once in a rare while and after a month or so after the object is in the other persons possession.

Is there an issue with the same UUID's being different textures? Maybe a data server issue?

Texture keep the same key. Forever. Period.

Unless you upload it again, of course. Then the newly uploaded one would get a different key. Forever. Period.

If you're _sure_ that you're getting different textures when using the same key, this is probably worth adding a new JIRA issue for, especially if you have a reproducable test case.

Or could it be that the script you have in there accepts a new key using some mechanism with which you are unfamiliar (change in inventory contents, chat message, etc.)?

Check to see whether other people are experiencing the same thing, i.e. they are also seeing this different texture.
