Well, $15 and 2 hours later, I managed to get all of the LSL wiki put onto my local hard drive. All 18,050 pages of it.

I was not logged in to the wiki (dont even have an account) so some of the pages are error pages, but those are only if the downloader program followed a link into an edit page. This should not influence/mess up the reference section. Yes, there are extra html files that probably arent needed, but there wa no way to configure the downloader to ignore them.

You can download the offline wiki (36.4 Mb) at the following link:

OFFLINE LSL WIKI

Simply unzip the file to your c: drive, the directory structure should automatically set itself up. Then create a shortcut on your desktop (or wherever) and paste the following link to the offline home page into it:

CODE

file:///C:/My%20Web%20Sites/LSL%20WIKI/secondlife.com/badgeo/wakka5bf1.html?wakka=HomePage

Hope this works out well for everyone :)

Cheers,
-Syn

Ok that site is all of a sudden offline (talk about bad timing)

Here's a mirror link (as soon as the first link comes back up this one is going away):

Or you could just get Jake Cellardoor's CHM file. It may not have some of the newest functions, though.

I was looking for an offline wiki as mentioned yesterday
/54/e4/46953/1.html#post504081

I managed to extract it to an offline file also using something called
Grab-o-site 5.0. You might find it's a bit more configurable Synergy and has the capability of missing the pages you don't want.

Where is Jakes chm file kept I have been looking for it. Is this just a help version of the Linden LSL guide offline or is it the wiki ?

More importantly, is there a converter program that will turn these html files into a chm file? If that were the case I wouldnt mind heading up a offline wiki update program that would post a new file every time there's a major release. :D
