is there a way to set a texture repeat via script?

I am curious if one can set the repeat per M via script. I notice that if you do this manually on cut prims it is a mess.

You can do this using llScaleTexture.

And if you need to do other operations at the same time you can use llSetPrimitiveParams or lSetLinkPrimitiveParams.

I don't think there's an LSL call to set the repeats per meter. You can do the math yourself though, then set the repeats per face based on the size/cuts..

I think you're right, Meade. I didn't think about it that way.

Also, if it is a mess when you do it manually, it will probably be a mess when you set it through a script. Have you played with the Default vs. Planar texture mapping for those faces? That might help.

yes .. in Planar mode the set repeats per meter is disabled.

The real problem is, that the repeat per Meter only works on some of the surfaces correctly, and it messes up the orientation and math on the others. So when you get it right but then want to globaly change the repeats on that prim, you always have to go back and fix those sides that do not respond properly to the tool..

This would make a nice product for someone.. if it could be figured out
