Create a shoe object to do it.

If you can't raise the av high enough like that, then you'll probably need to make a custom pose that moves the pelvis up a small distance (this moves the whole av, the pelvis is the "root position";). Don't worry, it's easy to do that sort of thing with Qavimator. Then the heels will have to trigger that animation on attach.

That's a very easy solution. But what about walking? Will I have to make an elevated walk animation too? I was hoping to avoid making animations... I was hoping for a script to include in the shoes that simply elevate the avitar. I didn't want to mess up anybody's AO, it that makes any sense?

No animations will be needed if the shoe is worn and an invisiprim used to hide the ugly bits of the heel, platform, etc that is left behind.

The shoe in question isn't really a prim, but a shoe created using the Edit Appearance > Shoes option of the self-pie-menu.

I'll send you an example in world, if you'd like. No scripting or animation needed, if it's just a slight difference in height that you need.

I guess I better let it all out. I'm trying to make some platform heels that are made out of clear glass... there's something inside them. When I put the invisiprim in I lose the transparency of the glass platforms. So I'm trying now to raise the avitar up so the invisiprim won't take away the illusion of the clear glass platforms. I'm probably going to still need the invisiprim, but I can't put it into the platforms.

Note: I tried creating a pose in avimator and raised up the pelvis, but after uploading it to SL the avitar is not elevated when the animation plays.

So scripters, how can I write a script that raises my avitar when these shoes are worn?

You need an animation, bruh. I sent you an animation called '4M float' to show you how much more easily and cleanly you will solve this problem by using an animation. Supposedly all you gotta do is move the pelvis and upload the animation with the priority as high as it will go.

Houston I have a problem...

I've taken other walks I have even poses raised my avitar in avimator and every time I try to upload SL says "failed to initiate motion." What am I doing wrong. I feel like a total moron, because this seems so easy a solution to my problem...

Any help would be greatly appreciated...
