In the attached ZIP file is the HTMLHelp version of the LSL scripting docs, now updated for 1.4.

For those who haven't seen this before: this help file is based on the Linden scripting documentation, but offers an expandable tree-view table of contents and full-text searching. The entries for the various library functions and event handlers contains additional information taken from forum posts, etc.. It does not contain everything in the LSL Wiki, but you may find it useful for quick reference.

The ZIP file contains two version of the help file: lsl-1.4a.chm has the library functions and event handlers listed alphabetically, and is recommended for new users. lsl-1.4.chm uses an organization based on the original Linden documentation, and is provided for those accustomed to previous editions of this help file. Only the TOC for the reference section is different; the actual contents of the two files are identical.

Great job Jake!

I am new to SL and have only looked briefly at scripting, so your efforts are much appreciated!

ah finally :D

noticed there are some broken hyperlinks in 1.4a though, under constants and in the category Permission Constants. Everything from llTakeControls() and onwards up till the next category.

Thats all Ive seen from 5 mins of browsing tho

thanks again for an incredibly useful tool!

Thanks for the corrections, Codswallop. I guess the HTMLHelp compiler's broken link detection isn't perfect. It appears those links were broken in the 1.3 version of the file, as well.

I've corrected my sources, but unless more problems are found (or there's a big demand), I don't think I'll release a new .CHM until 1.5.

thank you!! These are going to help immensely...

I can provide the "lsl-1.4a" file converted to iSolo PDB format for Palm if people need it (and if Jake doesn't mind). This is going to help a lot on palm - I won't have to alt-tab out of 2L as much!

Syntax Highlighting for Ultraedit
07-18-2004 18:48
I wrote a mostly-complete syntax highlighting file for Ultraedit from this help file.

Does anybody care? :-/

Cheers

I'd be interested in that palm version of the LSL guide if it is still available.

Thanks!

Doesn't particularly matter, just as long as I can find a copy of the software to read it for the palm :p
