Hi - is there a way to detect if land has been sold?

Thanks in advance.

The Wiki is your friend.

http://secondlife.com/badgeo/wakka.php?wakka=llGetParcelFlags

If you are using Mozilla, just type "lsl wiki" into your location bar and you'll be sent there.

Use llGetLandOwnerAt() (http://secondlife.com/badgeo/wakka.php?wakka=llGetLandOwnerAt) with a timer and detected if the owner in the previous call (n-1) is the same owner as this call (n). If they are different, land has sold.

IM me inworld if you want the script I wrote and use regularly.

It does the following:

- Upon rezing, sets the parcel music to a specific stream (I use Radio Rivendell)

- Upon sale IM's the new owner thanking them for the purchase (doesn't send to groups as far as I know, but never tested that functionality).

- Upon sale IM's the seller with the region name, X & Y location and the new owner's name.

- Prim de-rezs after sending the IM to the old and new owners.

- It also warns you if it's placed on land not owned by you and de-rezes*

*Specifically written not to work on group land. Selling group land is generally a bad idea unless you take the necessary precautions and are aware of the results. I put this in as a safeguard incase I'm half asleep when selling land, hehe.

The stream URL and scan time are user settable in the script, which is freely modifable.

I'd just post it here, but I'm don't have immediate access to it.

edit: I was going to scan for avies visit lots for sale to gauge interest, but didn't want to add any unnecessary lag. The script uses no listens or sensors, just a simple timer.
