Objects losing touch events?

I have had some reports of customers whose huds are suddenly becoming unresponsive. The scripts all seem to be in the HUD and I have tried to have them reset the scripts, but the object doesn't respond to touch, even though it should. When you hover your mouse over the object, it doesn't even give you the touch icon. Any idea how to fix this?

Here is the fix. Take the scripts out and put them back in. In my case this was a modifiable object so I could do that. I imagine that in some cases the object is just broken and cannot be fixed.
