So I went on a 'training' mission with this group and found that going from walking to strafing is kinda clumpy in that your guy almost stops moving for a moment. This got me thinking and rather than figure it out for myself I'll ask around in here :).
Would it be do-able or efficient to create a 'vehicle' that you 'drive' in such a manner as to make your movement more soft and fluent? Like a helicopter-like script that runs animations to look like you're running but in fact you're actually just sliding, and a jump button that adjusts the vehicles' bouyancy to jump more arena-like.

My hope is that this control style would make the combat arenas and general movement more realistic or at least better responsivness.
