so i bought the multisitter system on xstreet it works great, except it needs the same number of animator scripts as there are animations listed in the notecard. i'm using 100+ anims in a single object. you have to drag an drop the animator script into the contents, but that can take a while with that many scripts. is there any way to copy a script or other object contents to itself? when you drag an item multiple times into an object, it automatically adds a number at the end of the name, it doesn't seem to do that if you try to copy it by script

a script can not copy itself but something else could copy it, then you run into a new situation ... the scripts arrive turned off it can be done, but its a little complicated reading material _____________ http://lslwiki.net/lslwiki/wakka.php?wakka=llGiveInventoryhttp://lslwiki.net/lslwiki/wakka.php?wakka=llRemoteLoadScriptPin

I was looking at that last night but the problem is that if you use llRemoteLoadScriptPin to give a copy of a script with the same name, the 1st script is overwritten instead. Unfortunately we have llGetScriptName but no corresponding llSetScriptName.

From: Ruthven Willenov it works great, except it needs the same number of animator scripts as there are animations listed in the notecard.( That can't be right, you should only need one copy of the script and it will load up to 100 animations and let you select among them. You should check the documentation that came with it or try and contact the creator.

I am afraid you are mistaken, Ravanne. I use the same system and it certainly requires as any copies of the ~~animator script as there are animations.

I just can't see why anyone would write a script that way. And the ad for it certainly implied that if could handle 100+ animations. If you need a poseball script that will handle lots of animtions from one script I have one or more freebie ones I have picked up along the way and woould be happy to pass them along. Just IM me in world.

One script per animation?????? /me would look elsewhere for a prim sit script. From: Innula Zenovka I am afraid you are mistaken, Ravanne. I did remember what I did when I tried to see how many scripts could fit in a prim and still run (A LOT!). Create a prim and put 10 copies of the script in it and then copy the prim contents to inventory and then drag the inventory folder to the prim 9 times = 100 scripts.

If you only have one avatar per prim, and don't need the animations to by synchronnized or change together, try Easy Sit Target Positioner, L$1 at XStreet.

i have used other systems that handle multiple anims, but they're all on the same sit target. the problem is, they're not all universal. IE: one anim looks great with a certain sit target, the other you could be too high or sunken into the object or even rotated wrong etc. sure in some of them the avatar can adjust themselves, but with this system you can have a sit target for each anim, or even have multiple targets for the same anim. and yes it can handle as many avatars on 1 prim as targets you have set up in the note card. and you can syncronize anims if needed

If you only have one avatar per prim, and don't need the animations to by synchronnized or change together, try Easy Sit Target Positioner, L$1 at XStreet. It does support many different avs sitting at once on the same prim, each of whom can choose their own animation, and each of whom can -- in effect -- adjust their sit position from the menu (presumably by playing with llSetLinkPrimitiveParams).. that's one of the main reasons I spent all that money on it. It also does clever things like remembering the adjustments for individual avs, which is quite important in our household, where people range from midgets like me (a mere 5'10" in my bare feet) to more normal heights like 7'7".
