This sounds silly, but I'm trying to follow "Dynamic DNS Service for HTTP-IN via Google App Engine" /54/33/323981/1.html but am falling at the first hurdle because, no matter what permutation of numbers and spaces I try, the Google validation thingy refuses to recognise my 02 phone number -- which is particularly irritating because I bought the O2 phone specially since they don't include Virgin (my normal phone provider) among the UK phone companies they use for SMS validation.
Has anyone using 02 managed to validate for this? I think the problem may be that my phone number has more digits in than does their example.
ETA -- I sent Google an email explaining my problems and they've validated it for me manually, so it looks like I didn't need to buy the sodding phone in the first place.. grrr..
