Is there a way to set the amount of friction in a joint? I have something physical that swings and it literally seems to swing forever, I wouldn't mind having it slow down eventually.

I don't think so... But my best advice is to avoid joints for the time being. Their support has been haphazard for the months, and their future is uncertain with the coming of Havok 2.
