Hello,
Anyone knwo when the new http functions are set to be release? The wiki has them as new functions etc the release candidate compiler recognises them though wont compile them.
Just wondering if anyone knew when they should be up running?
Thank you

Server 1.27

I found this: From: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LSL_http_server/beta
[Update, 30 April 09] The HTTP-in code is in trunk and slated for release with Server 1.27. The http-in sandbox regions will remain on aditi until the first 1.27 server is branched from trunk and deployed to all of aditi for testing. This will likely happen in May, with 1.27 deployed to agni in June.

Logging into the beta grid yesterday, there was a notice that "in the next few days" the inventtory would be refreshed. That usually happens when a new project goes to the beta grid.. so odds are we're still on track for that 1.27-to-all-of-beta sometime before the end of the month.

I'd honestly be happier with a working version of llTextBox lol

From: ElQ Homewood I'd honestly be happier with a working version of llTextBox lol Me too. However my last discussion with about this was with Prospero Linden (previously team lead for the sim software, but no longer at LL) revealed that he wasn't even aware the feature existed and was already stubbed on the sim code. So I'm not real sure that this is on LL's radar at all. Also wrt HTTP-IN - running your own DNS to track the "server" is a big PITA. Despite having heard all the arguments, I'm still wondering why LL didn't just fix up xml-rpc which had the same functionality.

In the JIRA I gave my permission for LL (and anyone else) to use it as desired, but I guess I need to send in an official form for them to actually use it or something. Hmm. Anyway, it's not that tough a thing to get working, and it's very funny LL doesn't have something in there yet. Gotta love management prioritization that doesn't even make room for low hanging fruit, I guess.

Me too i keep the xml-rpc until was sadly wipe out . the new http server dont fill my specs - Limited to determinated address asigned in sim.( this is the most badly) - the address change. etc.

Try this one:
1) SLX/XStreet struggle for YEARS with a broken xml-rpc 2) LL buy XStreet 3) LL prioritize HTTP-IN to replace xml-rpc.
Makes ya wonder don't it?
