llVolumeDetect and Collisions

I am rather confused about llVolumeDetect, someone said its broken. I use it, and it seems to work... sometimes.

Basically, it doesn't detect all collisions. Is there a limit to the amount of collisions an object can react to? The Wiki about collision filters for llVolumeDetected objects is confusing to me. Do I need to use it at all, if I'm not really filtering anything?

It was broken, but it's now been fixed.

The event queue will store a maximum of 8 collision_start/collision/collision_end events (as tested with much fun with a prim and machine gun by me at Strife's urging).

You can completely ignore filtering if you're not wanting to use it, good rule of thumb, only use what you need in LSL.
