make two spheres hollow 95% alpha one all but outside then alpha the second one all but inside, then scale the iner one to fit inside the outer one.

In other words: no, but you can cheat to make it LOOK that way.

From: Lightwave Valkyrie make two spheres hollow 95% alpha one all but outside then alpha the second one all but inside, then scale the iner one to fit inside the outer one. Very cunning Lightwave !! And my source for this query remains hopelessly in communicado .. Spirit thats you mate...

the imposed limitation is 95% hollow. so to answer your question: No, it is NOT possible to make a prim 99% hollow. 95% is the maximum you can do.

Now, you COULD use a 40x40x40 sphere as the outside, and the 50x50x50 sphere as the inside...
Let's see, then hrm... 80% hollow? Math was never my strong subject.
*** Remember, if you expect the sphere to be non-phantom, you'll need to chop it up into chunks. Otherwise that hollow space isn't goign to ACT hollow. ***
