Is there ANY workaround for an object picking up another object?

Ie, for an object to take an object in the world into its inventory - in particular, one that it itself rezzed earlier?

I know it can hold a copy of the object, and then the rezzed object can llDie(), but that's rather awkward..

(Oh, and is it ever possible to come back from -4000, -4000 in region coords?)

No to both, I'm fairly certain. I think you can now use the UI to put a rezzed object back into the inventory of the object that rezzed it, but there is no LSL function. Sorry, and goodluck with whatever you are working on.
