I've been using one of those pager scripts, where a customer can click and send you a message. However, the one I have (and the ones that seem to be available) all send via local chat, so there's no sound notification like there is with an IM.
Is there a way I can add a sound notification to one of these pager scripts? I never notice when I get a "page" because I don't hear it and don't know to look down into local chat.
Also, are there ANY scripts that actually send an IM instead of a message in local chat?
Thanks,
Des

I don't now know the pager scripts, but i think they all send the message via IM. Otherwise the massage won't reach you, if you are in another sim. But it looks like only IM from an avatar let the bell ring.
Maybe llEmail is an option for you?

Yes, I think the email would be better for me, because I do have a popup notifier for Google mail, which has a noise. (I need that noise...haha) Could I just swap out the IM part with llEmail?

The downside of llEmail is that it sleeps the script for 20.0 seconds and there are some other limitations. You can simply replace the line with llEmail, but i wouldn't recommend. Use a second script and trigger it via llMessageLinked() and recieve it in the second script with link_message() Have a look at the wiki, there are some example scripts, too. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LlEmail
