Hi,
I am currently working on an RSS reader which works fine.
However, I have the need to protect the reader and scripts.
I can remove the modify rights on the whole reader, however, I need to grant the new owner the ability to modify the config file.
Can the modify rights be added to separate items within an object or controlled by some other means that the global setting ??
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Some scripts read notecards to get their parameters. I don't know what the commands are, but I've created the notecards.

Yes, you can set specific rights to objects contained in the reader. You can set the scripts anbd the prims to no modify and the config notecard to mod and copy so that it can be edited. The thing to remember is if the config notecard is removed or deleted from the reader they final owner will not be able to put it back.
