Paying a held object?

Was working with this a while ago. Wanted to be able to script an object so you could pay it while attached to the user, but it seems impossible. The pay-option isn't viable at that state.

- Anyone know why it is like this? Can't see why it shouldn't be allowed?
- Anyone have a smart workaround or other alternative that could be used?
- Or did I just do something wrong?

P.s.
I already know how to handle pay/money in an object rezzed on ground.

You can't pay attached objects (not sure why, but you can't) so it's not you.

Best bet... you could get them to touch the item and rez a vendor from it is probably the easiest way to go. You could also make a follower vendor I guess.

Paying objects in-general is kind of a weak area for LSL. All monies are immediately forwarded to the object owner anyway...so why not just pay the owner if the object is attached to them?

I'd like to see objects be able to receive L$ from an llGiveMoney call (would completely eliminate the disadvantage from not being able to check if the llGiveMoney fails to pull funds), and for attachments to be directly payable (for, say, profit-splitting, wearable, tip jars), but I don't see it happening soon.

Right click on an attachment on another avatar, and don't we see the options for that avatar? Seems to me, once attached, an object is treated just like a part of the avatar. So until that basic coding is changed - a change to the basic nature of attachments - paying an attachment won't be possible.

Might be able to pay yourself from an attachment? But that seems mighty pointless...
