Is there a script function that will pop up a text-input dialog box to allow a user to type a text string? If not, can we have this? it would be useful. :)

you can bring up a dialog that informs the user to say something in chat, mind. Given that the llDialog system is really just a fancy way OF saying things in chat, that's not THAT far off.
