No, I need to get to the core of the issue.

"Scripting Tips". I need tips where to find a programmer who is not a flake.

I have used that board in the past with no results.

Well no, that is not how it works. Scripting Tips is to help people with scripts they are working on. Not a classified spot to locate scripters or advertise for hire.

Scripters who do "for hire" work, regularly scan both locations I gave. I am sorry you had no results in the past. Just because an idea is posted does not mean anyone is going to be interested.

You may be better off looking for references from people who have had scripting jobs done for them in the past.

The problem you're facing is, while there are fast and competent and trustworthy scripters for hire, most of them are either in long term relationships with their own client base, or are busy working on their own pet projects. There are many more competent types who will pick up an occasional job if it peaks their interest, but since they spend 40+ hours a week in their daytime jobs writing code they don't really want another boss during their designated "fun" time (that's my situation) and have also been burned by bad clients (also my situation). Frankly they're just not worth the headache or the heartache (clients).

If I were you, I'd hang out in some scripting groups for a couple weeks, getting a sense for who comes across as competent and responsible - and approach them. Most will turn you down but they may know someone who would be a good fit for your project.
