Drop Attached or Set Locked From a Script

Is there a way to programatically "drop" not "detach" an item from an avatar? As an example imagine a talking parot perched on a pirate's shoulder. The parot can attach easily enough but on detach will go into the inventory. The pie menu does have a "drop" however which does just what I want.

Also is there a way to set an object to a "lock" state from a script in the same way the object can be locked from the Object tab? An example would be a build platform where you may want to lock the sections so an errant click doesn't delete them as you clean up build debris.

I've RTFMed to the best of my ability, but I apologize if I've missed something obvious.

Unfortunately, I don't think either of these are possible, script-wise. I know for certain that there is no way to 'Drop' an attachment via script. I'm not aware of any means to toggle 'Locked' status via script, either.
