Hi,
I have some combined object which has say root plus five sub-objects linked. How could I reference them in SLS? Do I need to call sensor or something?
Can I rotate, move etc these child-objects from the main script?
Can I call the functions defined in child object scripts?
Thanks in advance!

moving is object only,so if 5 prims make up 1 object... rotation says it can effect child prims indvidually but the last time i tried it didnt work (i had to unlink them to get the rotation back) calling functions yep, well sorta, you use linked messages, which then the other script (rather it be in a child or just another script) can pick them up and do stuff based on what you tell it to look for ie: if (str == fuzzynuts)llShout(0,"YAHOO!"  ;

Let me place some comments inline. I need quite the opposite. I have a script attached to the root object and I wish to manipulate linked objects. Thing is that this function rotates the object it is attached to, not some other linked child. This one right on target. For some mysterious reason I skipped whole Link section in SL wiki. That's great that you pointed out it to me so quickly! Osgeld, your comments were also useful! Thanks to everyone!
