Ownership and modifying objects

I am relatively new in SL and am having trouble understanding issues realting to ownership and who can modify objects.

For example, I am an officer of a group. If one officer of a group creates an object and sets the group's object property then another officer of the group can modify the object - it says "You can modify this object".

However, he or she can neither create a script for such an object nor edit an existing script contained within such an object. Why is that? Can anything be done about this?

Deeding the object to the group seems to have no affect on the ability to add a script to the object.

How do others deal with this? Ultimately I would like to be able to have each officer in the group have the ability to modify scripts within an object regardless of which group officer created the object.

Add them as a friend,then in the friend window HUD theres a Grant Modify Rights button.Highlight thier name and click the button.We warned though, they can modify ANYTHING you designed/created.

I'm assumning thats not what you're after though if you want every member of your club to be able to modify every other members objects.The answer to how that is done, i don't know,i'm still less than a month old myself heheh

Using the Friend window to Grant Modify Rights does nothing to affect the ability to edit or create scripts in objects owned by a group and created by another officer. I would also love to know how precisely the Friends (Grant Modify Rights) affects who can modify objects!
