1) I finally got a light script together. But no amount of scripting or even changing the settings in the script itself will change that particle from the color I first set it to. 2) The particle I'm using shimmers, and flickers on and off. It's a cool effect. Problem is, it's only working in my home sim. I can rez as many copies as I want in my home sim and they are all working. But when I take the object and rez it outside of my sim, the particle does not obey the flags I have set on it -- it comes on and stays on. I've tried it in several sims and in the sandboxes and they all do the same think -- don't blink. I was finally getting the hang of particles and this weirdness starts. Am I missing something with issue #1, and what gives with issue #2? Thanks

That was my first guess, so I went to a completely empty sim -- FPS of 12000+. There's like 40 prims here total. The lights are solid and not flickering. I 'take' the same object back into my inventory, teleport home and it works fine.

from my experience particles almost never look the same. either to different people (cause its a local effect) or even to me at different times/places. a solid stream of particles in one sim will have large gaps if taken to another sim. if there is lag its worse, if there are allot of other particles present, also worse.
for #1 is integer interpColor = TRUE? or do you not mean changing from a beginning color to an end color?
and #2 (without seeing it its hard to say) sounds like its behaving right outside your home sim maybe and that in your home sim there is something (lag, packet loss, other particles, something else) that is affecting the appearance of the particles.
