Ok. I know or hope this has been asked before but is there anywere i can find more simple instructions for creating scripts. Took BASIC languace back in the very early 80's and understand some of the functions but lost otherwise. Read the tutuorial but still lost for most of it. Can anyone help?!?!?

Try the LSL 101 tutorial at the LSL wiki. If you have questions or don't understand something, just post a comment, and someone will fix it or explain in greater detail.

That's about as basic as I think it can be put in a general manual. After all, I just wrote that um... three days ago?
Perhaps you should talk with someone (like Cath or myself) for some one-on-one help? _____________________

I just wanted to say, you people amaze me. I'm not new to scripting, I use javascript a lot for web pages..but this is so completely beyond me. My little teensy brain simply can't wrap around any of it.
So..to you the scripters...kudos! I may just come pelting to you in tears offering to pay you to code something for me. ![]() |

I always tell people learning to program or script is like leaning math in Spanish (unless you are Spanish of course). If you can use javascript you can likely get used to LSL. It like someone bilingual learning a third language. The logic part of LSL isn't overly complicated. It just takes the time to learn the language itself. It does get a bit harder for me when I want to rotate something based off the movement of something else but that is because I haven't been in school in years and have to keep looking up all the trig and such.
