RC car?

hi im wondering if anyone has a script for a remote control car.

The reasons why im looking for one is because i have a small track and think it would be good not having my av in it.

any help is appreciated

Well create a normal vehicle script that takes the controls but without a need to have the avatar seated. Thats all.

Just get the permissions for takeing the controls and take them without needing to have the avatar seated.



The only problem might be that you can't take the camera.

But what you could do is create a controller prim(which is seperate to the rc car) which you seat in and have the camera in a birds eye view above the track. Then let the rc car take the controls.

im hopeless at scripting though :/

Well it does take lots of time to learn how the concepts of scriptings work.

Take a look around here and pay attention to the permission functions and the take controls function.

What I would recommend is getting a vehicle script and messing around with it and see what happens.

I have got no access to SL at the moment so I can't script a vehicle and give it to you to take a look at right now :\.

im hoping someone will do the work for me heh im setting up our new location and dont have much time for the extras like rc cars so im hoping i can get a ready made script or car

my friend has one called a scarab sand buggy but the creator does not play anymore.

I've been looking for something like this as well. In fact, in the past, I've done business with Klintel Kiesler, who created a mini-RC motorbike. You may want to contact her about that, although no guarantees that she's willing to give out the script.

Although as aforementioned, the RC car would be easy to create by taking controls via touch_start(). In fact, you could get away with taking almost all of the vehicle parameters out of the script. I'll help you out next time I log onto the world, if you haven't found anything yet though.

yeah id like one that you click to drive and the camera either follows the car or is fixed somewhere.
