Screen Streaming

I am not quite sure if this is the right forum to post this in, but here goes.

I am looking for a way to screen stream what an avatar is seeing without having to use the client. For the sake of Top Secrecy ;) let's just say that this would be used for a security camera. I know that this is not possible with LSL, but I was wondering if there is some other way to do it.

So back to my "security camera" example. I would have a bot sitting behind the scenes some where and a security camera on the wall would catch the bot's camera. It would then screen stream to a URL without a server having to have the Second Life client open. Is there any way to do this at all with like libsl or something?

Thanks,

You can stream live using two free programs: http://www.ustream.tv/ + manycam. I figured it out in half an hour or so ages ago, so it isn't hard (Ihaven't done it since then so I'd have to refresh myself on the ins and outs to answer in detail, though).

Here's a video tutorial: http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/290389

In other words, you could do it with a stripped down custom client, but it DOES require some kind of client (and probably an avatar logged in and rendered as well). This can NOT be done with an LSL script.

I ignored that part because it was nutty.

Let me clarify what I want. I want to be able to, on a server, run some sort of Second Life client, that I do not have to actually see to be able to screen cast it to some place. I want it with the image feed without having to have it open on my monitor because it will be run by a bot program.

Yes, you can do that. I will require a custom client of some sort (most likely built using the viewer source code or libSL). I cannot be done with LSL.

Do you happen to know of anyone that might have this? I am new to Second Life. My son on the Teen Grid is helping me to launch a business that is synchronized to his.

If you don't know how to do it then it would be best to place an ad in the Products Wanted. But what you are asking for, I haven't heard of anyone doing before and would be one heck of a lot of money and I am not talking about $L. Next problem is your last post, it would be against the TOS to stream what is happening from the Teen Grid to MG or vice versa. Don't think it would be within allowed parameters to even sync the businesses between the grids. In a case like this I would suggest attending a Governance meeting and flying what you are planning through them, or there is a good chance both you and your son could loose your accounts.

No, no. It is not like that. It wouldn't be streaming from one to another or anything like that. What I meant by synchronizing is he is helping me set up the same sort of business that he has. His is successful and I thought I could try the same things here. Its two separate things.
