I am a little new to scripting and have been looking for information on the subject of animation speeds. I understand that animations (like ones set up in Poser) have a certain number of frames, and a certain frame rate, which determines their speed. What I would like to do is manipulate the speed, by either manipulating the frame rate - or however it can be done - via a script. Is this possible with the current LSL? Is it possible to edit a BVH animation via script to change its frame rate? Any information on this is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Unfortunately, animations are currently static. Once they are uploaded, there's no changing them. That's similar to how sound and textures work.

How else would one go about varying the speed of an animation then?
My only guess so far is to create the same animation a couple or several times each with different framerates, upload all, add all to the content of whatever object and then alter the script to change between animations.. anything bad about doing it like that?

Jevodus, that's exactly how it's done in a few products I know about, and really it's probably the only way. Nothing wrong with it at all.
