the answer i seek may well be in a previous post.......but i am soooooo completely useless when it comes to scripting it could be staring me in the face & i'd have no idea that i was looking at it.

i am looking for a script to allow me to teleport between the floors of my home.....3 levels....so from ground to 2 or 3....from 2 to ground or 3.....from 3 to ground or 2

& is there much more involved in getting it to work than plunking in co-ordinates?

where do i find this? thx in advance & please be gentle......i am a scripting idiot!!!!!!!!! :D

It's a hack. You basically use llSitTarget and then unsit the avatar.

I have a simple script that does it, you just type the coords at the top of the script and place the script in an object. I can drop it on you when i get in world later today if you are interested.

But, there are far more elegant scripts out there, that also changes the camera position after teleporting, so that your camera isnt locked on to the teleporter if you happened to zoom in on it before using it. My script is very simple, so it keeps the camera locked to the teleporter if you were zooming before teleporting. A quick press of the escape key to restore the camera after teleporting has become a habit for me, so I havent looked into changing the camera.

the TP script i have allows you to just put it out on the ground and change the notecard inside it, its awesome and sooooooooooooooo simple

if you havn't found one yet, IM me in game (i'll be on later) and i'll take you to where i got it, cause i can't' remember the name right now hehe

its so easy to use and configure, cause i am extremely script stupid :)

Trimda Hedges has the best teleporter that ive seen. No need to do any thing except rezz em where you want...change the object discription. The teleporters auto-find one another. You select the different destinations with arrows displaying hover text. Its worth a look.

I use one by Newfie Pendragon, just have to change the co-ordinates using a notecard. I'm going to look up the Trimda one mentioned above though, it sounds intriguing.

I think there used to be a free one at Cubey Terra's aerodrome in Abbotts - dunno if it is still there.

Anyone got one with a selective avatar access list - that would -very- useful for skyboxes in particular !

Hi Sio

Can you let me know if you find it :)

It would be much neater than the bodge of placing the teleporter on a restricted 16m2 parcel, which is what I'm doing right now...
