Hello, i am trying to make the ride that is in the image below:

http://members.dca.net/dtorok/coasters/uktour/Cterrorizer.jpg

As you can see it consists of two rotations. One for the seats to rotate arround and one for the main shaft to rotate.

Is it possible in any way to get this to work in SL?

Please Help..Dave

Yes. Put one on a parent object, and another on a child in the linked set. Should work... I think.

You probably do not want to use llTargetOmega, since it is a local function, it will look very jumpy as people view it because it resets when somebody touches it, or sits on it. Plus, it will look like it is in a different position to everyone.

Try using physical rotations.

Sure. Say you have three linked objects. The one that's added last to the link is the "parent" object, while the other are the "children."

So, adding rotation to the "parent" will rotate the entire object. However, adding it to the children will rotate only that child prim.

Therefore, make the ring where people will sit the child, then make the rotational arm to spin that out and about the parent. :D
