Change to physics?

Is anyone aware to a change in the way physics works? I have an object that rezzess bubbles and these have been happily floating up for some time now but late last night they suddenly all start to drop to the ground when first rezzed before then floating off.

As to physical vehicles, yes, sinking into the ground like a sewing needle seems to be part of the program now. It's not a new thing, maybe month or two old.

It is more problematic with slower moving hover vehicles. It's also load related. A full grid will make this happen consistently (notice last night we had almost 40k online). A light grid and it may not happen at all. Sim load seems to matter less then grid load. It's like it's dropping updates.

Physics have been in the crapper since post 1.6. Not that it was Good before then, but it was possible to make something physical move slowly without it pulsing and sinking into the ground.

Each time they "improve the SL experience" my pool table and vehicles work less.

No, worries, cory said LL would be working on Havok+ early this year in his plan for 2007.

I'm sure he was telling the truth.

Though, he also said that aprox 70% of the staff is on bug fixing, yet the most popular bug on the maze that is the bug report page, Group Notices, has not been fixed in, oh, about half a )#$&*(@$ year. So yeah. thhp. whatever. lalallal.

I think i would have to ask why you are making physical bubbles rather than particle bubbles. Sounds very laggy.

Thanks for feedback - all movement on the sim I am on seems to be very jerky now (I have some TP units that worked fine even with the WarPos bug first surfaced) and they are painfully slow now although they use non-physical movement and scripts take ages to run so I suspect that is why the physics stuff is playing up. I was wondering if this was a general thing but now wonder if the sim I am in just got downgraded? I checked with other people and we all see this so it is not my client etc.

BTW
The bubbles are part of a ride I have and only one or two get generated every 2 or 3 seconds which is why they are not particles.
