Thanx for the reply.

I want the URL to be added to the object so that when the URL is touched the web page opens but not when the object is touched . Can I do in this way?

Sorry but i dont undestend your cuestion.
If you need to redirect some one to a web the answer is like Innula says, but the first part its where im lost, in what way you need to add the url if is not via the script itself?
via chat, object description, notecard ?

yes, I've done this. your base object does not hold the llLoadURL script, the prims with the xytext hold this. Use xytext to display the url on the prims, and in that script's touch event use the llLoadURL. attach this prim to a base object (screen, box, whatever) which is your parent object. When the people click the displayed URL, they will load the web page, but not when they click the base or parent object.

this was already solved here...

(and a perfect example of why making multiple posts on the same topic is a taboo, it cause people to spend time answering questions there's already a solution for (when they could be off helping others), and makes it harder for people to find those solutions in search)
