This works for me - have not tried with someone else's prim though:

Copy your script into a prim (yours), compile using Mono and close the script window, take the script from the prim into your inventory (drag + drop), and then drop the script from your inventory into another prim.

If you're using a third party viewer you may be able to simplify that process; I know Emerald, at least, allows you to compile scripts to Mono in inventory.

Can you drop scripts into someone else's object now? O.o

Used to be, the object would should "Not allowed to edit this!" if you tried to drop a script into someone else's prims, even with avatar mod rights granted.

If you have something compiled in mono THEN take it into inventory, dragging it out of inventory should retain the mono setting.

I think llAllowInventoryDrop lets you do this but they get auto-forced to not be running.

You can drop scripts into other people's prims if you have full mod rights, I am sure. You cant read them, but you can drop and delete them. My business partner and our alts do this to each other's stuff all the time.

Yeah, I was thinking about llAllowInventoryDrop, which does that. I checked the wiki.

I remember now that full mod rights allows people to drop other running scripts in your stuff. I once had to remove mod rights from a co-worker who pranked me that way. <.<
