When i built a rotating object I can not attach it to anything else or the whole link begins rotating. Is there a rotation script which allows for this? For instance a fan blade in a fan box? Plz advise and thank you for your help.
<I see wings on airplanes rotate according to the planes position or speed so I am sure it exists but I can not locate a script like this in the forum. One about doors but i am not sure that will give continuous rotation like i want. (just so you know i tried before posting...: )>

if you want the prim to rotate around it's own position use llSetRot() http://lslwiki.com/lslwiki/wakka.php?wakka=llSetRotif you want it to rotate around the link set's parent prim use llSetLocalRot() http://lslwiki.com/lslwiki/wakka.php?wakka=llSetLocalRot

LeVey, are you perchance linking the rotating object as the root prim? That would be expected to do what you are describing. Try linking with a different prim as root, and tell us if that helps.

Cancel that. I used the following code to make a texture rotate around a shpere I made. WHoo! llSetTextureAnim(ANIM_ON | SMOOTH | LOOP, ALL_SIDES, 0, 0, 0.0, 0.0, -1);
