Hi, sorry if this had been asked before, but couldn't find any threads on this topic. And sorry if this is not a help seeking section, but seamed everyone else here was looking for help.
Anyway, i'd like to know if thier is a way of controlling other objects, without having to use the llsay commands or such. is there not a way to control them dirtectly? such as, per example, a command similiar to "object.llSetAlpha(0.1,all_sides) or whatever?
thanks.

Though you can perform limited actions on certain other *prims* within a linked object - there is llSetLinkAlpha, for instance.

Also, although this might be obvious, you can 'control' nearby foreign objects if you put a script in them which will listen to messages of the sort you describe, announced on a private channel by your controller object, or objects.

...and if they are physical you can possibly INFLUENCE their position/velocity with 'llPushObject()'. Not exactly very fine control.
